Default Starview 7 (Just a thought)

Is there anyway to make these boxes point at the kv server?? Obviously its only the 'keys' they are grabbing from the server, and obviously the server's ip address is embedded in the flash. Cant we change this so that it grabs the keys from the kv server. I know its a bit underhand but hey it could be a solution as the kv server is still running.

hehehehe. nice thought. but I am sure it has got couple of problems atleast

A: The cable boxes are not as universal as Sat boxes where there is a simple structure to insert the server info and other stuffs. Cable boxes are very new in this and so everyone is making the way they like it.
B: Why on earth KV will allow something like that instead of selling KV boxes. Remember though we say that we are not paying for CS but its incl in the Box price.

they are only 12 month guarantee on box its self not the channels. you are after all stealing channels. once flashed they are out of warranty.

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) states that when a consumer buys goods from a trader they must be: as described; of a satisfactory quality; and fit for any purpose made known at the time of sale to the seller.

This legislation also states that the seller, not the manufacturer, is legally obliged to sort out a problem if the goods do not meet these requirements.

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) says: if goods break within the first six months after purchase then there is a presumption the goods were faulty when sold

they have to refund you if its faulty or not fit for purpose its upto the induvidual how he/she goes about it
