of course they do the dont only sell that box they sell lots of boxes including the Starview renamed as somit else, prob a sat box

In most cases like this, boxes are simply re-badged and the firmware customised (or re-worked a little) from already existing boxes. The manufacturer isn't really important and will likely change with each new model. It will likely be some Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean manufacturer.

If you look hard enough, you'll probably find a box which appears identical to any of the SV's (inside at least - the case is irrelevant) or only marginally different (ie. Sat tuner instead of cable).

The important people in the chain isn't the manufacturer. Its whoever has paid to have the boxes made !

As I said though, its not really important. If it hadn't been one company it would of been another. As far as i'm aware, SV have used various different manufacturers at various times so its probably down to who can build the boxes for the cheapest !

I cant see it happening, but what if they could link this Korean guy arrested to the manufacturer, do you think this would have any bearing on future imports from them ?. But as you suggest i suppose they would just rebadge and switch manufacturer.
