i have just got hold of a couple of pace 4001 boxes and both say tune on the box display. On my tv screen one has a black screen the other is a bright green screen? both boxes have not been used for a couple of years. do you think they are goosed or is this to do with not getting regular updates?

No that's typical for these boxes when they have not been used for a while. These boxes are supposed to auto tune to the correct NET ID and frequency etc. If you got them from an area that not your own it's best to to pull the red jumper and let it try to update. There are tyricks you can try like setting the correct frequency manually for area (in the Eng menu) or force booting.
Done a few of these some take the updates quick, others seem to always strugle booting even with the latest updates. |
