Slow newsgroups
Strange one.
My friend and I both have identical modems (4100s), identical os (xp), we live in slightly different UBR's (same city) and same newsgroup provider. I get consistent 1.1mb connection, he gets around 400-700 max. We both connect through Linksys routers as well Any ideas on the difference here? |

Could be net congestion, have you tried a different port for the usenet provider? I can get constant 9mb down from Astraweb using 10 connections on port 8080 and 10 on 119
