Unhappy Dbox2 freeze

Anyone
I have A nokia dbox2. I have flashed the box with sportster1.75 and I have placed the service.xml file as suggested in gmail tutorial. But when I try to scan the transponder or frequency reaches around 3000000 and freezes. Sometimes the box freezes when going through the dbox menu. I have flashed and set up another similar dbox with no problem. Appreciate any suggestions.

Try one of the newer images - they've come a long way since Sportster1.75

Hi Lincsat
Thanks for getting back. I have tried different images but not much luck When I use Sportster 1.75 the transponder freezes, Sportster-Pro_1.08 is inGerman change language settings but does says certain ucodes are missing. With commando-7.5_x1 the system freezes from boot up. Are there any other images out there. Cheers

I've just tried the image lincsat.beta45.2x. Loads fine but does not pick up channels. Have set id and frequency no luck. Just get Teleport on LCD.

you can ftp in your services and bouquet files and you shouldn't need to scan. The teleport channels are configured for most Pure NTL areas

Hi
When using the image lincsat.beta45.2x I can not update the flash through software update flash without bootloader does not show the flash image downloaded even though it is there. I have loaded the servce and bouquet filesbut on the screen it says waiting for time, error channel not available. Doing a scan just goes through the transponder without picking up any channels. Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi
This is with a cable nokia dbox2. NTL Notts. I have FTP my service and bouquet over. They show up on the info bar but says waiting for time. I have programmed another dbox cable no problem with signal. I have a funny feeling there is something wrong with my tuner on the box.

PS I do have a satellite dbox which I have posted questions on a different forum. I will be working on this once this one is up and running. Once again thank you for replying.

Is this a new box that you have purchased or has the freezing started to take place on a box u have been using for a while?

In one of your posts you say u have tried a commando x1 image - you would need a x2 image.

In the first post u mention u flashed another box without any problem - have u backed that image up and flashed that onto your problem box?

Hi
I purchased this box with a german image flashed on it. On my other box I have Sporster 1.75 and no problems. If I use the same image on this one it freezes at different times. I have now placed your image lincsat.beta45.2x onto the box but I am unable to update the software ie. write to without bootloader. There is no file to update. At the moment I have all the channels showing on info bar but says "waiting for time". I have tried many different 2x images each ahs differnent problems. What can i check to see if settings are correct. Thanks.

if u have just purchased it - and u have tried many images - return it.

otherwise try removing the modem located next to the tuner inside the box and see if that helps.

flash a recent x2 image onto the box - ftp ur uptodate service and bouquet files across to it - reboot the box then try it.
