Default ambit forcing update

well i habe been testing today and what i need to know is if and how can u force haxorware to get updated with original firmware and i have took a tick out of disable firmware upgrades but it hasnt updated yet so could some 1 tell me how to rush the process along thanx

are you hoping it will update in stream? not totally sure but i dont think it will.

basically you can download the update file from the tftp (has been known to be the .7 ip) and check it out if you want. the file name will be in the config you can get from the hax overview page.

i dont think vm will update a hax modem in stream. i could be wrong but it would seem that to update it would have to write a full 2mb to the flash and these are just updates, not full fw in stream

thats what i wanted to do to be honest my m8 said if i get doc 1.0 online then let the modem update to virmin firmware then it would have doc 1.1 valid certs then u extract the certs im not telling it all but theres method in my madness thanx........or at least i think there is

Hi m8 im almost sure that the certs are never changed on a modem thru any kind of update , they are set in the factory and tied to the mac

your mate is prob talking about bootloader version. this is updated on stream from a tftp.

the bootloader plays an integral part in the dhcp lease from the dhcp server.

i cant remember if hax actually does spoof it when authing with the dhcp (or is it the tftp?)

its one of them anyway. basically, your modem needs to be good enough to look legit to both the dhcp and the tftp

remember, if you look legit enough, the dhcp will give you an ip so your modem can update on stream. its what happens after that which is critical!
