DSI wont work with R4i3D card

I have installed the necessary data onto the sd card, and when I put it into the DSi, I get two white screens, one blank and one with Menu and a ?. Can someone please tell me what the problem is.

Did you unzip the firmware to the root of the sd card ?

Hi, yes I did, and put all the files in separately, and I managed to get it to go to the second screen with three icon choices, which are, I think the web, email, and file options, then alas I cannot get any further.

where did u get the firmware?

there is two diffrent firmwares for that card.

tell me which one you tried and i wil post the other one for you...

also is what version dsi have you got?
do you have a dslite for testing?

although they say r4i3d, these cards aren't new and im not sure if they will work on the latest 1.4/ 1.4.1 dsi's

The DSi is Ver 1.4.1A, and, no I dont have a Lite for testing.
The firmware, I downloaded from the site that was provided by the card.
I have since set up a TTDSi card, and it is working fine. But, I would like to know why the R4 card doesnt work. I did read a previous post of yours, and that helped, but it still didnt work.

ok m8,
your card is not compatable with dsi 1.4.1.

when ninty updated the dsi's to 1.4 and 1.4.1 , this disabled alot of flashcarts.
it says on your cards website that these cards work only on dsi version 1.2 and lower....

R4I NDSIXL 3D are SLOT-1 flash cards for NDS console series (R4i supports DSi). They are upgrade versions of R4 with multi-media features which can support SDHC and run most games and homebrews. They have widely been owned by many NDS player users. NOTICE:All the DSi flash card just can work on DSi ver2.00 or under version in currently !

unfortunatly these card cannot be updated to work on newer models dsi's

Sorry to hear that , I recommend just grab the acekard 2i which gets the ability to update to work with the new firmware .

Just thought I would mention, that on the site, it said that it was compatible with the 1.4 DSi, and on the card it also has that it is compatible with even the newer DSiXL. So, how are we to know what works and what doesnt
