Hi guys, would really appreciate some help on this. been struggling to get my ambit 255 online for many hours now and eyes are actually staring to turn into the back of my head! First time trying this so hope im not being too thick! and sorry for length of this post.
I am in swindon which is ntl pure I believe on VM. Have flashed 255 with Haxorware 39 and have found some macs in my area. A couple from finding unsecure wireless connections up the road and a couple from dhcp force. Am I right in thinking that macs now have to be on same UBR but different CPC? Unffortunately I dont have a subbed modem so not sure what my ubr is anyway, but apparently dhcp force will only look at macs on your ubr as long as you dont use brute force? I have an ex subbed 2100 which gives VM reg page so using that for dhcp force. Anyway, using the macs ive got, I have managed to get downstream and upstream locked and synced and even managed to get a vm reg page sometimes on my haxo'd 255, but I cant get any further and haxo's event log shows this - 2011-02-13 10:50:27 Error E206.0 Improper Configuration File CVC Format 1970-01-01 00:00:12 Critical D003.0 DHCP WARNING - Non-critical field invalid in response. 1970-01-01 00:00:02 Notice M571.1 Ethernet link up - ready to pass packets am I right in thinking that the certificate is held in the modem and am getting that error because the modem isnt sending what is expected? or anything at all? if so, what can I do to correct this. Im sure im very very close now but am stuck! My haxo settings are currently as below, but have played around with all sorts. Am I also right in thinking the stealth settings dont matter any more? although i have tried identifiers for the 255 and for the modems i am trying to spoof (the ones i got wirelessly anyway, that i could interagate). Also there seems to be a difference of oppinion on what the HFC, ETHERNET, USB MAC and serial no should be. Ive seen ethernet is hfc -6, usb -1 serial=hfc or ethernet is hfc +1 usb = hfc, i dunno which one is right! all I know is on a 255 the serial is same as hfc but that doesnt seem to be the same for other modems. Anyway I must be getting boring by now. Please if anyone can help would be very very grateful.
