Default Install Windows 7 Whilst Still Using XP?

Is it possible for me to install Windows 7 on one hard drive whilst still using my computer (where XP is installed on another drive)? Reason being is that I have downloads running and I don't really wish to abort them.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

if its on the same machine then its a NO NO

no you cant as you would need to boot from CD / DVD in order to install it.

UNless you use VMware but that means it would be running virtually.

If you have Windows 7 Professional or higher, you can run Windows XP as a Virtual Machine on the same computer.

I figured I can't do what I was wanting, I just scrapped the downloads and started them again in Windows 7.
