Default firmware removal ?

hi all!
i should have read these forums before i told this fella to buy a box he bought it 4 days ago then paid someone to flash it for him so we were just wondering if there is anyway of totally removing any trace of the firmware that has been updated so he can return it to the shop he bought it from as it is sold as a fta box but not all fta services are available may be some sort of argument im not sure, but the £75 quid would be better in his pocket rather than theirs.
thanx in advance!

Afraid so m8, if he takes it back they will know for sure the reason he bought the box and will check it out to see if any software has been added, the only thing to do now is hang onto it and hope that starview sort out this problem for many punters like yourself.....jay
