Default cert injecting ?

does anyone know much about cert injecting and can certs from say ambit 256 only be injected into another 256 or can certs be used from varios modems like sa2100 and sb5100 and 5101 or are they limited, also i know if done this way people are getting on with 1.1 and 2.0 docsis any infomation would be greatfull as there isnt much on other forums !!

well it seems to me quite a lot of ppl are messing with certs and its not the same as cloning a sub 1:1 as ive been reading

Once you clone a certificate then the modem is traceble back to the original donor modem. In effect, you may as well do a full 1:1 sub copy.

Playing around with certiicates is something only an extremely savvy experimenter would do for 'testing' purposes. Its not really something you would use to get free internet unless you really want to get caught !

Basically, if you dont fully understand the functions and workings of the DOCSIS system and the ways certificates are utilised then DONT mess around with them at this point in time !
