was checking the forum and its quiet in here these days, but while im here i just wanted to say thank you to the starview people for dumping all your customers ! ok you got busted but you could have put something in place to get it back online , but you chose to have all your eggs in one basket and left the important equipment with a house full of dealers!
now we the paying customers have had to suffer in some cases with just a few days worth of tv, but we knew the risks! yeah course we did but maybe we deserved just a little explanation from sv themselves as to whats happening and if their is light at the end of the tunnel. but for me im glad starview have gone down because my combo is excellent on the "other side" brilliant pic quality and tons more channels and i wouldnt have used that side while the server was working, im so glad i moved over its much more fulfilling. the box itself had paid its dues to me a while back , and after working out i get the subs for about half the price of the kv per year but i get all the hd packages and channels galore and even more if i move my dish a few inches either way. im more than sure the kv servers will be next to fall but im not childosh enough to go and poke sticks at the kv guys like they have with us.. after all my thing is so much bigger than theirs (change thing to penis), shouldnt be a infringement??!! i strongly suggest if your thinking of going down the kv router steer clear and go with a small scale sat server instead. its the only way!!! thats my little rant over,,,, thanks for reading. regards dave

sat is a totally different beast! the share im with is local and kept within a small circle of mates so itll be kv first!! the problem with sv is they didnt have a few other options in place and ready to go like we do with the sat... if they had then 44000 users wouldnt be a tad unhappy !!!
but to be honest i hope kv keeps going for years,, wouldnt want them going down as theres a lot of ppl using em... but got to say im more than happy with the sat.. hd should be free lol. regards dave

if and when they do that then it remains to be seen. Sly Italia have been counter attacking for a while but the proces itself doesnt last for long as the fix comes out pretty quick. I personally think that C/S will stop because seeing as what OSN have done with there networ. I am pretty sure all other providers will be following in the same path now. Only difference is that because sky customer base is soo big it will take them a long time before they go down this route. Also its expensive.

In short their new cardless boxes have rendered all cardsharing linux boxes defunct on their network. Im sure someone will come up with an answer to that, its a big market.
