Sorry Jimbo, all I mean is there is nothing new to say about the sv boxes, there not working, nothing anyone can do with them untill sv start them back up running again, apart from the combo's. Untill sv get them working again what else can be said. |

Why should they care about anyone who has bought a box, they have made their money and they don't care about those with the boxes. They know that nobody will be taking them to court, by doing so, anyone who did would be admitting they were defrauding VM. If you are waiting for them to do something then all the posts about them doing so are a waste of space, because they don't care.
Wait a while and there will be another box to get your money from you and when that goes tits up they will have made enough money and they will do just as SV have done, MOTHING. As for the OP how the hell would that be hacking N3? If and when N3 is hacked, there will not be long to enjoy it. You got to remember that just because N3 is new to cable it is far from new on the sat side and it is getting long in the teeth, I am quite sure that they have N4 waiting and even working on N5 now. The hard facts about SV is that they have gone and will not be back, now that might upset a few of you who hold out for a "fix", but that is the naked facts of the situation. You might want to buy a KV box, but remember they are not above getting busted. In the end the only way you can be sure of getting VM is pay them. When you were all told not to have anything to do with commercial CS you all laughed at those who knew better, but now you have lost you money you seem to think that you are owed something by the SV outfit, you were doing a job on VM, or so you all thought. I have been reading the many threads regarding SV and have very seldom commented on it, but now it is just getting boring, every few days someone comes up with a "fix", if it were not that some of them were so funny it would be even more boring than it is. Time to make your minds up then boys, take another chance and buy a KV or go and pay VM. Regards Wez

i dont have a sv box,but i have to agree that they are doorstops now,and will not come back on .but it could've lasted a lot longer if it wasn't for the stupid idea of uploading server being placed at a criminals home,as i heard the police stumbled on this when they searched the house for an unrelated matter, due to the persons illegal activities..totally stupid.if you read the article again it also states that the sub payers would pay a monthly fee, which isnt the case then as s,v were paid just once.
the thing about 44000 boxes hes been involved with cant be all as i read somewhere ther was in excess of 100000 of the sv 6 and 7 in the uk at the moment,if true they have made a hell of a lot of cash so would have thought they should've had 2 different location where the uploader server just in case a problem like this happened ,,so i would say then that they are robbing bastards and have no intention of putting it right.. and there never will be a fix for n3,well not in my lifetime IMO. |

But they are all crims so where else would they put the upserver? As I have said before it is just like the cards and cams which came out on the sat scene, when they had all they could get the just stopped support for them. Next week there was a new card or cam out with a nice £100 + price tag on it. We have all been there, done it and bought the tee shirt, so take it from me as long as there is a buck to be mad there will be ripoff merchants to take the money.
Regards Wez

Probably already been said but I cant be bothered reading all the above posts !
Think about it logically people, The SV's themselves aren't broken. They work perfectly well. The thing thats broken is the CW uplink grabber and now, the actual client server. These simply are no longer there so no matter what you do to your SV its never actually going to be able to aquire the relevant CW's for the channel in order to decrypt that channel. The only way SV's could work again is if somebody set a new server up, using the correct protocols, and then also set up a CW uplink network to that server. The SV box firmware would also need to change to now point to the new server. So who, apart from SV who may want to continue selling boxes, is actually going to buy 20 odd full subscriptions, the uplink gear, the server, and then implement all of that ? Whoever does it, its not going to be cheap so they certainly wont be giving it away for free. Therein lies the major problem. You immediately have a nice traceable money chain right to the new server operators doorstep. How long do you think that would last ???? |
