Krypview A780

Hi all i am trying to put firmware onto my kryptview box but having no joy.
I have downloaded the firware and loader but once i have put loader on and put firware in i get a message saying UART initilazation failed.
Anyone have any idea's what this means

We would, if you would give just a little info .. .. .. to help us~help~you :

- PC or Laptop
- Win7 or what
- Modem [ wrong ] or null-Modem cable [ the right one ]
- USB to COM port dongle or not
- COM ports switched on in the BIOS
- or are you trying to flash from soddin' Linux machine
