I am having problems with my wife's technomate 1600 2CL receiver which she used for watching russian channels on Sirrius and Hotbird. It worked great for ages after install but then started playing up with pictures dropping regularily and now getting no pictures at all. Satellite/tv repair man came and said he could see pictures when connected to the dish on his kit so suggests it is the box but with no more help than that. Is he correct or is there something we can do to reset/update the box to make it work again?

Any help would be greatly received for complete tech novice.
