Nagra 3 Smart Card (VM)

Hi guys,

I know you have a lot of n00bs on here saying 'I'm gunna hack Nagra 3" and all bull like that, so i'm not even going to bother. All I am asking is if anyone has an old nagra 3 card. I would like to try out a couple of tests I have been running on different smart cards to see what I can do.

Before the flame wars start, I AM NOT SAYING I CAN CRACK NAGRA 3 OR THAT I WILL EVEN ATTEMPT TO, I just wish to have a play around with a card (or a few if anyone has any old spare ones) to see what I can accomplish.

To be honest with you all, I'm a programming and chemistry student, and I am looking at what physical and virtual securities the cards have that block access and cracking / hacking. I know there is an algorithm hidden on the chips to change the access codes every few hours, but what I want to know is how this works and how it blocks access. I also know of the physical security layers on the chip and would like to know how these work to stop unprecedented intrusion of the chip.

If you want to learn about the physical security protection on smartcards, do a search for the videos by Chris Tarnovsky. One he has released (a Black Hat conferance presentation) goes into great detail about multi-layering structure and micro-probing using a DF electron microscope. Very interesting.

i've just googled the price of an electron microscope at those kind of prices i think i would rather crack open the door of a new bentley than crack n3

I have both a new Vbox and matching VM new card if I can help, no idea howto get in the card tho..

just remember don't send a subbed card to any one!!!!!!. are one that has been send out to your address . as can be traced. specially if it been activated before. unless you know and trust the person 1000%
