hi, sorry to trouble you all but i need help lol.
my boyfriend left and after a month my internet switched off, now i have been reading for over a month and trying different things which resulted in a bricked epc 2100, so i got a blackcat lead of ebay and again followed a lot of guides but all i get is errors and when i untick "verify written data" and write the 2meg dump then still nothing, i also tried writing the bootloader and then max232 and also bootloader and firmware with blackcat and toms jtag util. so i then went through some junk and found an ambit 250 so again i brought a max232 from tmc but when i connect the wires in there sequence and start hyperterminal i get nothing, i have read every bit of information i can find about both of these modems and still i get no where. an help would be great or jusst a point in the right direction :0)

When you power up the ambit do the lights work?

just the power light for a sec then it goes off, sometimes it stays on but not very often.

if theres life in it the ethernet light will blink when its connected to the pc.

just tested ethernet cable and the light comes on then goes off but there is no connectivity.

Take your b/f back get him to get it back on and dump him. Might be the easiest way for you.

ok so the cpu is
broadcom
bcm3349
and the flash is
AMD AM29LV160BB but in toms jtag util it comes up as AMD 29lv160DB
i think i might have wiped the memory in the memory tab by writing the wrong file to it, is there any way to recover this? and is there any way to remove the verify errors?.
i have tried a lot of different flash's and firmware with no luck, would anyone be willing to send me the memory ram.bin file? as i have yet to try this.
