I usually use Sat equipment but having just move house
i have not setup my dish yet. I have just put my DVB-C card back in the pc to get Virigin FTA as i dont use a tv. But having scanned the old transponder list i got hardly any channels. Does anyone have any ideas of the transponder frequencies for the Liverpool area. Tnx in advance............ |

It really depends on the NetId of your local area as to where the transponders are situated but you should probably try a brute-force scan using a frequency of 107.000Mhz as a start point with gap of 8Mhz (ie, 107, 115, 123,.....). Max upper frequency is somewhere around 850Mhz.
Knowsley 40965/40966 (which i'm guessing is probably your NetId area) definately has a transponder at 107Mhz or 195Mhz. If you know your proper NetId then I can likely dig out a full frequency table for you. btw, Symbol rate will be 6952000 symb/sec using QAM64 modulation. |

![]() Bloody hell, I thought there were some sad and bitter people on TW, but that's incredible! 6 pages of accusation, abuse and answers to questions no-one asked. I wonder if any of the members over there have a VirginMedia tattoo... |

LOL, the thread was really short when Ernie_C first posted it. I think someone from here may have added a few posts to it too. ![]() No-one there will actually answer the original question.

hmm, if the people posting on there are actually VM staff then their knowledge of the system borders on criminal. I can only assume the staff they use for the forum are the same staff that handles their front line support - in India !
