i have had this box Tevion Vision 28216ALD for a while now, tried fitting it in at brothers house using the dish, but some channels came on and some wouldnt just work, for some reason i think the dish has gone to the scrap dont know what happened there

i am wondering if anyone has heard of this box? and how can i get it working now?

would you require more information?

is it even worth having fitted? will the sports channel work on it. I dont have the dish but have the other bits and pieces.

any help would be much appreciated. thank you.

Listen, there is no point asking about the sports channels for this box. It is a free to air receiver and won't get them in the main. For Sky sports for example you need to subscribe to Sky, and unless using a Linux machine, one of their receivers.


There some free to air sports channels available on some other satellites, but mostly they are subscription based.

so how come it shows on the box Sky Sports 1 and some other listed sports channels? surely if i get a dish and universal LNB and set it up right, it may come on without subscription.

Nope. Its a cheapo FTA receiver from Aldi. Sky scramble the Sky sports channels, there is no way you can watch them with that receiver.

you can tell im a newbie when it comes to this sort of stuff, what box would you recommend to use to get the sports channel up and running? without the internet connection if possible?

Unless you subscribe to Sky, it is not possible (without an internet connection). You will only get channels that are free to air (i.e not scrambled).

damn, everything is messed up

oh well best not have it done then, will just be a waste of money then, so how does these sports channels work in another country then?
