They are both "hd ready" both pretty similar in specs, personally I would go for the LG, mate has a sammy and picture quality was not as good as my old LG..

What size screen/make/type are you going from and what are you gonna be using it for?

Ouch lol, could be colour wheel/bulb or something.. all expensive to replace.. Best ever excuse for a new TV though.. I remember when they came out there was different DLP similar shape stand to yours, they are lovely to look at aint they... I had a toshiba rear pro at the time.. hated it lol.

How deep was the black on your DLP?

Still say LG over the sammy though..

Best TV i have ever had mate, picture quality was unreal, sad to see it go. Blacks were deep. I came to the conclusion its the dmd board so looking at a £500 part, colour wheel seems to spin up bulb is on nice and bright, after i took that picture i managed to get the tv to run for a few weeks using a desktop fan behind it, so i may strip the tv down clean it all, reseat heatsinks fit a few mod fans and see if i can have myself a 50" tv for the bedroom haha

You told me what is in my mind. I also think Panasonic is much better than Samsung or LG. On the other hand LG is better than Samsung.
