hi there, got another ambit that i have not been able to access since about a year. when i try to access via web browser it comes up saying requeting username and password, "the site says Infinite" ive done lots of browsing and ive tried root/root , root /blank , admin/admin , Admin/Infinite and loads and loads of other passwords. now i do not know what to do. all help would be apreciated. thanks

hi mate, thank you for the help. that seemed to do alot more than ive ever done with this modem, it seems to accept the username and password you told me to use, but now it comes up saying, The image http://192.168.100.1/ cannot be displayed because it contains errors. and wont go any further than that. cheers

try modzilla firefox to browse it

Im pretty sure Internet Explorer is best for opening that page up with Infinite, & Not Mozilla if i recall.

i use firefox mate thats where my problem is. will try i.e though and get back to you's. thank you

right mate, after trying with i.e, it lets me in but it loads up like an html page, like a source page thing, if i copy everything in the source and save as html file then open it up, it opens up half of a page with settings in etc. but you can't click on any of them, so what could be the problem to why it gives me an html source code ? thanks for all help received so far..

Try an earlier version of ie if using ie8 it will cause that problem.

Reflash it with a max232 & use haxorware as Infinite is 'old hat' now!!
