Default Can anybody help please?

Hi guys,

I bought a krptview for my mate (I have one works great). So I flashed it in mine and checked it out on my TV - the box works great.

So I go to my mates house, connect it hard to his router and use a splitter (one to the box - one to the router).. Now for the life of me I can only get FTA channels, all the premium are scrambled or no video. He's in the same area as me (Liverpool). I've tried doing a factory reset and switched of the router, but still not getting anywhere! Is there something I am doing wrong?! Frustrated.com

has your mate just had the modem/router sent out/ installed and is he able to access the internet? if not it may need registering/set up initially before it will work.

Hi guys,

I've just been around to my mates now and this is what I've found.

When I use the splitter, I cannot connect his computer to the internet, it has a yellow explanation mark near the wireless connection and when it diagoses the problem the computer reads "DNS server not responding". Internet works fine without the splitter. So obviously the reason why I can't get the premium channels is that the box is not recognising the internet (scrambled or no video).

Any more suggestions? Have I got the wrong type of splitter?

Cheers...
