Default A780 No Picture

Hi guys,

After all the recent events with sv7, I have purchased a kryptview. I have followed the update guide and all went well and the updater said 'download success', and then the box rebooted. I connected it all up to the tv but get no picture at all (no menu or anything, just a black screen). The box display says 'ON'. I have tried 2 tv's and 2 scart leads but still no picture. The standby button doesn't switch it off even, the display just says 'on' regardless of what i try.

I updated it using the guide and files on this forum section.

any idea's?

have you loaded the right firmware if not download the bigmaq toolbar and download the Kryptview_A780_03012011.bin file and load it to your box

I'm assuming you flashed it from a COM port .. .. from FTA .. .. to the Jan 2011 update on your puter .. .. then having switched it off the mains moved it to your TV area.

So you have disconnected it from the mains power have you ? and its showing sod all on your TV ? You must have had a bad flash mate, I mean it is possible you bought a duck~egg but I've only ever heard of a couple out of the many many thousands sold that were U/S.

You say the LED says ON, if I was doing it I'd :

- flash it again
- not with the *.bin file you originally used, it might be FUBAR, get a known to be clean one
- and when you think its finished .. .. leave it for another minute before disconnecting any leads.

All sorted,

I reflashed it with different firmware (latest) andf all is well.

I have to say, the picture quality of the krypt is much better than the sv7. glad i changed.
