Hi folks, after 2 weeks of trying i finally got 1 of my 256's up and running, id given my next door neighbour a webby 2 years ago and it worked fine until all this **** started happening and he was in at me to change mac address constantly, until i showed him how, i was asking him about the modem today and he said his hadn't went down foe a while, so straight away i said lets see your settings on hax pages, and low and behold they were all different from what i put in, but the guy swares he's only changed mac addresses as he wouldn't know about any other settings, i had a look and copied his settings from the wbby on to the 256 and up and running with second mac i tried, thing is the settings i put in have changed from the tut i used 2 years ago, ie
in the settings page.... "disable firmware upgrades" is the only box ticked in the first 5 boxes; in timeouts the first 3 boxes r ticked, and the 4th unticked, in administration, "DHCP serve" is ticked and so is "run on startup", in "frequency" No 1 is 331000000, which i put in, but the 2nd frequecy has popped out of nowhere its 586750000, and the 3rd i know about 402750000, im at a lose to explain this but, know what i dont care cause i beat the f**cker |

J.D & coke for me
![]() ![]() ![]() glad you got one of them sorted, if you check on ur m8's modem or the one you have running and click on signal which is under the overview, and see wot it locked onto and then apply the same frequency in the other modems. and they should be ok. i would not follow any tuts regarding set up as some are dated now and settings and stealth have changed, so ur better off reading recent post and tinker with the settings urself. |
