Default Firefox 4?

Anyone else using Firefox 4? What do you think?

Got to admit my initial impression isn't good - options are hidden to be less user friendly, as like with Chrome, and the navigation (ie, home, refresh) has become less user friendly, just like Internet Explorer.

So the whole thing seems ... less user-friendly to me.

Or am I the only one?

Been trying the new Firefox4, so far so good. It seems much faster than the other version with some handy tweaks. I like the option to "Pin as App Tab", you can select one or more tabs to pin to the left side as a mini-tab and stay there, I use that for my Gmail page.

One thing I missed was the Save tabs on exit that used to be present of FF3. This is off by default but to activate go into the control panel - type about:settings in the address bar and find "browser.showQuitWarning", simply toggle this to on and that's it fixed

Home and refresh have moved, but still easy enough to use, just got to get used to the new position. I have also unchecked the Tabs on top to put them back where they were.

I am still on 3.6,and am still annoyed that in preferences /privacy,you cannot set 'clear cookies when closing firefox',which you could in the older versions. In fact AVG tells me that it now has a built in tracking cookie. That it cannot remove.

I've updated to Firefox 4 and overall, I am impressed apart from one thing..... the fonts appear sligthly blurred. I have been told this is an issue with the font cache and it should be resolved with an update/hotfix.

Thanks linksat.I had'nt spotted that they had just moved it.Now set to remove cookies only, on closing firefox.

Maybe a bit late.On this computer I have version3.6.12,and as I type this, it is downloading 3.6.16.

They keep shifting things. On this version preferences is under tool/ options. On my desktop. It is under file.I think version 3.6 16 is on that.

Nope got it wrong.I looks like it wipes history as well as cookies.Which I don't want. You used to be able to delete only cookies on shutdown before.
I know that tracking cookies are a necessary evil with free software so I will have to put up with it.
Going looking for version 4 now.

Excellent! Put the "home" button on the far left, where it ought to be.
