Default A750 stuck in searching new update mode

I installed the 03012011 update, and it worked fine, however when i tried to do a software update through the menu, it has been stuck in searching for new update mode. I have tried installing an older firmware, but as soon as you have installing it goes to the same message. I have left the box connected to the i connector and the internet. Thinking it may find the update or give up but no change. I have also left it switched off with all the cables disconnected but still no change. Any help appreciated.

What way have you got your iconnect connected to the box ?? direct or thru 232 cable you use to flash the box with ?? . you can only use the small cable to connect the iconnect to the box

Also do you have your router connected all the time to the iconnect and it is the correct iconnect you have for the box, the black one, did you ever have this working ??

I had it working fine with the 03012011 update, the i connector was through a RS 232 cable. It was only that i was missing a few international channels and i thought that i would try the software update through the menu. I so regret it now. It has been continously stuck at the searching for new update.
The only way i have find for it to respond now is to install the A780 firmware 03012011 on it. I know it is the wrong one; but when you are desperate you will try anything. It responds at least that way and i do get some free to air channels and a few such as warner films and and a french one. After then doing a factory reset and again reinstalling the 03012011 A750 update it again goes into the searching for new update.

when u flash with the latest software did u factory default and rescan without the Ethernet lead in or out?
I think it needs to be out, when all scanned then connect up Ethernet lead.

the 232 cable you are using is it the correct one for the iconnector, or is it one you bought ??, do you use this to flash the box as well ??.

Ok try this not saying it will work but anything is better than nothing, disconnect the tv cable from the box and the iconnect, have nothing connected to the box apart from the scart to the tv, do a full factory default on the box

menu >>>> installation >>>>> factory default.

After you do this reflash the box with an older A780 firmware and then connect to the tv again only with scart lead, do another factory default, re connect the tv cable scan the channels in DONT connect the iconnect and see what happens.

If that works do another factory default and put the latest file on your box, make sure, it is the A750 file as both files have the same date on them, after that new scan with tv cable in again and see what happens, if all is good then go and connect the iconnect back up to the box and see what happens.

i have installed the A780 firmware and it gives the menu from which i have done a factory reset. However once i install even the 09092010 A750 Frmware. It goes into searching foe new update mode and the box becomes unresponsive again. I have done this with everthing disconnected from the box and finally connected the i connector at the vey end.
