Default Problems With Orange Network Where do I stand?

Not sure if anyone lese is getting these problems but I know of at least 3 other people.

Basically I have a monthly contract with Orange and have done for the past 5 years, I renewed by contract back in September 2010 for another 18 month and got a Sony Ericisson Satio, Quite happy with the phone however over the past few week's I have had problems.

If my phone is idle for a while still one just not in use and I make a call I will get a bleeping sound in my ear when I ahve finished the call I have texts messages coming through sometimes upto 4 or 5 at the same time all dated and timed then, However these texts have been sent a while back sometimes even the day before. I also sometimes get text messages saying I had missed calls for a person even though my phone was on and nothing rang.

I have contacted orange 3 times now over this issue. First I had the usual change my sim into another phone for 24 hours and see if that does it. NO. Then change the network manually from Orange/T-Mobile to just orange done that same problem's. The last one was change something again which again has not worked.

I first thought it was a Sony Ericsson problem but the wife started to get it on hers and she got the samsung tocco, 3 other people are having the same problem also. I have asked Orange if they are experiancing a problem or something but they say no. It is gettign annoying as I had to drive my son to his football last tuesday in rush hour traffic. I rang the wife to make sure where it was and got a bleep in my ear and it was from his coach saying it was called off and that text was sent in the morning and it was then 6pm at night. A few times people have tried to call and it goes directly to answerphone, If it is something important and someone needs to get hold of me?

Where do I stand with orange if this problem persists as I am getting fed up of phoning them but have just under a year left on my contract.

Your problem seems to be a weird one indeed!!! It's gotta be the Orange network experiencing problems that the customer service advisors can't detect due to them clearly being not informed well of network problems in the different areas of the UK. All I can say is that keep ringing them and threaten to cancel your contract or even better cancel your direct debit with them and not pay a single penny until the service has been fixed as from what you state in your post that you've been a loyal customer to them for 5 years and keep renewing your contract everytime your old one is finished. That way they will understand wth he's not paying us etc... and it'll be about time they'll hopefully fix it for you.

Hi
I have the exact same problem with my phone and have had for well over a week. Orange have given me the same advice and have told me masts are down in the area and won't be fixed till may 7th. Has welshcake managed to resolve his problem?

I still have 4months on this contract and after 8 years with orange they have well and truly lost my custom!

well i got 11 months of crap service as it would not connect to t mobile after they joined. It was a known fact was issues, even shops like o2 said had a lot of customers leave and join them. in my home town the masks for 11 months were running at 17% signal, 3 hrs a day no service and when i did it wasnt 3g

so a good moan was sorted and thats what i got from moaning

I personaly prefer to stick with O2 it amuses me when im out on different sites the guys walking up and down trying to get a signal on different networks, friends and family on O2 are free calls and texts, i dont use the net much on it though the screens too small i just find it annoying.

You had every right to be annoyed with this ridiculous service and also signal! Where I live o2's reception has been a bit crap the past two weeks since they installed two new extra masts in the town centre. Last night it completely went down for a few hours but it seems like the service is completely back to normal with no drops in service.

Haha its funny how tmobile and orange customers have two networks to receive reception from. My little brother is on the tmobile network and its ridiculous at times like you said.

Same problem; wrote to customer service and Olaf Swantee, CEO - never got any reply. Stopped DD after 20 months and now taking me to court. Wont talk to me. Been with them for years but moved to an area they say has cover. Zilch. They could not care less; just want you money. USE another provider
