Relatively small amount of boxes and little stock of the things - in other words its simply not important so may or may not get done !

Well originally ever ones box was intended to have a life of 12 months but due to the unfortunate circumstances for the past 8 weeks, to keep all of the existing customers happy all boxes are expected to get 12 months from the point installation of the showmustgoon and enabling activation using 1819
I'll pretty much guarantee the real reason for that is that when SV 'lost' the server and various offices were raided, that all records regarding individual boxes were also 'lost'. Anybody restarting the service would have little choice but to allow acces to either all existing boxes or none of them - not really much of a choice !

Will this 12 months start when all channels are up and running or does it start from the moment the firmware is activated....

Also, is there any news on when the other channels wil come on??

it starts when you first log into the server 1819 then u have 12 months regardless of if theres one channel working or 70 its all about when u activate (1819). seems obvious to me.

I did think that mate, guess I was just clutching at straws a bit..... I suppose any time what we get is a bonus, because 90% of us thought it was gone for good..

yeah well 12 months from scratch will be a bonus for some users,,, i think sv should not have a time limit for any boxes allready been on the server.
new boxes yeah but after messing us customers about we should get more than the 12 months.

mind u be glad we have anything with all the trouble the kv guys are having... they will be buying starview boxes soon lol !!!

regards dave

Some people are unreal. They whinge when the server was shut down and now it's back they are moaning on about how long it's back for. Cmon guys, ur getting virgin for free. Enjoy it while it lasts. You never know, it could be back for good. Let's face it you could pay full subs for two month and that would pay for a starview box. I think anything more than few months and it pays for itself.

Indeed, couple of months for SV and maybe a month more for KV and its paid for itself assuming you would normally pay full subs. For people to expect uninterrupted viewing from any CS box is unrealistic - if you really want continuous uninterrupted viewing then SUBSCRIBE !!!

SV/KV boxes should really only be viewed as something to be used as additional to a low end subscription, where you occasionally use them to get a little 'extra'. Using them for anything more is basically taking the proverbial p.i.s.s !
