was surfing on ebay for computer parts.... got bored and found a receiver from gs

how is reception in the uk and guess you needed a c band lnb ?

I did not buy it, but good questions... I felt bad for the lack of information I gave you in your PM, so I'll find out the answers tonight when I have some free time and get back.. if I'm not back in 24 hours,I owe you a beer or a juice... whichever you prefer lol

Ok, so it's actually turned out to be a bit of a hassle.. there are two sites that I found that maybe helpful:

www.satbeams.com -- great place to see some satellite footprints.
Tele-Sputnik Magazine -- this has all the satellites from Tricolor and PlatformHD, I just couldn't see if it was C band, but I may have overlooked it somewhere. (was a bit frisky after a few pints haha)

I'll keep looking, but from what I saw, it looks like Platforma is not a problem, but would probably need an FTA bounce or something for Tricolor. That's speculation as far as the FTA bounce, it's difficult to find answers in Russian, lol

Also, I asked a good friend of mine where I can find out if it's C band, when I find out I'll post it.... and I also told him to give me a dang website where I can find that information too!!! lol cheers !

Ok, so he said that it's Ku band... but didn't give me a website or anything to give you... so right now it's basically off his word.. sorry for the wait
