why nagra 3 cant be hacked
just wondering why n3 cant be hacked. remember the bigmaq toolbar used to display codes daily that you could put in manually, why cant that happen now,sorry if it seems a bit daft.

and even if had code and it didnt change still wouldn't work

No, in terms of actual ecm decryption codes it actually appears far more static than N1 with the decryption keys either never changing or changing only once since N3 was rolled out.Quote:Originally Posted by jack08

The actual channel descramble keys change at the same rate they did on N1, approx every 8-12 seconds. This is true of most dvb standard encryption systems whether they be Nagra, Seca, Viasat, NDS or any other. The descramble algorithm is a DVB standard and nothing to do with the overlying encryption system (the only real purpose of the encryption system is to securely deliver the descramble keys to the stb every 8-12 secs)
The N1 (and N2 to a large extent) cards were fully dumped meaning all the keysets, including the management keys were public. This meant that anything the providers did could be quickly and easily countered.Quote:just wondering why n3 cant be hacked....
N3 cards have never (to my knowledge) been sucessfully dumped thus no keysets are known (management, ecm or otherwise) thus its not possible to decrypt anything.
