Default Alternatives to Skype

I've found a list here, which shows lots of providers for lots of countries in the world. At a guess most people will probably want countries like the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Czech Slovakia, Pakistan, India, and probably a few European countries like France, Spain, Germany or Italy

Google voice should also become more popular; especially with the fact that it owns the Android OS which is now on virtually every phone on the market, except for RIM phones, Nokia's and Iphones. It should also become more popular with(mobile phone) contracts such as the one plan etc... where you literally get unlimited internet
