Default Some helped needed - Eurovox MAX 2007 - Virgin

Hi, recently had the Eurovox MAX setup at home - Kingston (which is covered under the Croydon VirginMedia/TW Area)

Just a few problems at the moment:

Firstly, quite often at night my MTV channels start stuttering and skipping, and then suddenly stop alltogether & say there is no signal - have tried rescanning but nothing changes - happens to all MTV channels and a few others. Whats happening?

Another thing, is that quite a few of my channels do not have there proper names, i.e. instead of MTV Base it is "TVCh14" etc. Why is this? Can this be fixed?

Also I'd like to mention that I was informed by the person who installed it for me that the Croydon area works differently from others? And that the "Power Scan" feature does not pickup many channels - infact when i did i only got about 16 channels. So instead I hade to manually enter frequencies (About 20something of them). Is there anywhere I could get a comprehensive list of these frequences for Croydon? As i noticed some of these infact have no signal/quality (in the red section) so i'm guessing i'm losing channels?

Thanks for any help, sorry for writing an essay lol !

Much appreciated. I'm a newb.

sounds like your transponder frequencys are slightly out, on the channels that are stuttering adjust the frequency by 0.5 and this should sort the picture out.have a read of this
Jumpy channel / long wait fix

Just wondering if you are a Virgin subscriber,or are you working from a redundant cable....asking because a signal from a dead cable can go all sorts of ways ...
