i got a problem maybe firmware related, i bought 2 eurovox max 2007 red box's
one last week and one this week, The first Box has firmware file EUROVOX_MAX_RED_BOX_19_02_07.bin loaded on it The second Box has EUROVOX_MAX_RED_BOX_15_03_07.bin loaded on it now the first box is great all channels come up on a powerscan but the second box is very poor and dont pick up channels very well, a lot are missing. so under further investigation i noticed the second box all the frequencies are always one number below, example box1 131.000mhz , box2 130.000mhz and same with channels, example box1 ukgold 627.00mhz, box2 ukgold 626.00mhz so it looks like a firmwae issue, there's a 1.000mhz shift between them, interesting hey, has anyone else seen this yet? |

the eurovox always goes to a whole number (maybe the nearest whole number) so if a frequency is 644.500 you could get it showing 644.000 or 645.000

i posted this message ages ago 19-april-2007
these older models will only be available second hand or clones on ebay or somewhere and the max v 2008 black box is identical to these red boxes anyway, if i were you i would not buy one of these older models becasuse the firmware for these will eventually die out, only buy new models so firmware availability will be better and the problem i had was the one firmware was a patch that was meant for people in ireland, which has now been fixed by newer patches since so my advise is only buy the latest models, dont waste money on older models unless its a really good bargain price Last edited by racky29; 22-01-09 at 08:07 PM. |
