hello all been reading lots of threads of late and just to let all know
that to get box back on if yours is not on you do need to do the following
a factory reset and then rescan channels .

should then pick up the channels that have been coming on ss1 ss2 ss3 and more

I have just done this....when it came to select the area network id, Birmingham was not there, so i selected the red button which was all networks, it scanned and got all the channels up but still no luck with any of em working

im not 100% sure but if birminghams not up, go to the next one close to your area ??

Find your area's net id from a official stb, or the net.

Am I right in assuming you choose 'Network' Option when going to Rescan, rather than 'Scrambled' etc?

Also, is it something to do with the fact there's only 3 lights on- the 'Run' light NOT on?

For info, I didnt require a factory reset, the channels just came back on.
It may be worth while checking the networks side of things.

Are you getting any channels being logged when you do a scan, you see then coming up on the scan screen one by one.

When I do the automatic search, I get a lot of TV Channels coming up listed... But when its complete and I try channels, only 1-5 and few free channels like BBC3+4 work.

Thats the FTA channel. There are some encrypted channels back on so I here. Some sports and kids channels!
It may be an idea to check the network side, modem - router etc.
What lights do you refer to?
