For those requiring a software update

To get the latest firware (dated 3/1/2011) for your kryptview use the following link (you'll have to register) -

I was not getting any channels so updated the firmware following the steps in the sticky thread Easy guide for updating the KV A780 and A750(with pics!) in this forum and using the latest firware from the above link.

Make sure you get the update for the right kryptview box (A750 or A780). I've got the A750 and based in Leicester.

Up till now, the latest software for the KV780 is 24/03/2011

Not on a released file its not, the last released file is the 03012011, that other file is only on a net download the 23032011, so you wont find it.

Would it be sensible to assume that there is no need for the new update until the testing procedures etc have been completed?

Yeah, but ive done absoloutely everything i can, the factory reset, rescanning etc and cant get anything, whilst others in my area have got channels, glitching or no glitching, n i aint even got a hint of anything back yet!

I did factory default then scanned and I have the channels mentioned in the other thread. I did notice a lot of new test net id's though?

I think like mentioned earlier there is limited space at the moment so there is no guarantee that you will receive anything at the moment.

We just need to be patient.

Just search for it and you will find it. Just make sure the firmware update is on or after 3/1/2011.

Sorry.. maybe I'm being really stupid (and if so apologies) but I don't understand why you need new FW if the boxes are clearly working on the old FW.

Surely we will only need to update after everything is back up and running? (and we are advised to update).
