Default Help needed

Hi Guys,
I have a KV box not sure of the model but it's one where the lan goes into the back.
Here's the problem, all was well until the channels went off, updated the software before this happened.
When I found out they were coming back on I got intermittent channels as everyone else.
Over the past couple of days I got some channels but yesterday I was watching the footy on SS1 & it went off. Got the usual message on screen but after this happened I couldn't even get any of the other channels BBC1 & so on. What I have to do is reboot the box wait about 5 minutes then the "normal channels" come back on, if I then try to watch say SS1 again it's ok for about 10 mins then I get the error message again & have to go through the process again.
I have tried some of the suggestions in the forum, rescan, factory reset & so on but I still get the same problem. I've evn tried a direct link from the modem to the box rather than via a router - still no joy.
Any ideas or suggestions please.
Regards

Are all of your cables in properly? Virgin media cable tightened? Might be a loose connection causing the problem

If you take off your watch, you will have all the time in the world.

A minuter or less of that new found time reading just a few of the threads here would have told you that the current state of the server [s]:

- is that .. .. only a small % of the KV box's can get onto the server at this time
- those like yourself who manage to get on in a busy period .. .. will be repeatedly kicked off again
- making any changes at your end is unnecessary / will not improve your situation / and could make it worse

In essence if it worked before it would work now if the servers were running at capacity but they are not. The solution my friend is time.

We can live three weeks without food / we can live three days without water / but we can not live three minutes without hope, we still hope the servers will be sorted if we give them time.

Thanks for the info.
The reason I posted is because I thought the box may be goosed.
