Default Starview 7 set up

Hi All,

Just wondering how easy the starview 7 is to set up? Thinking of getting one (hoping that all problems are now gone) but not sure how they work exactly. I am familiar with starview 1 and 2 boxes - can anyone send a link or describe how they work, read somewhere they work via a sever on the net? If so, is this free and is it just a download?

thanks for any help.

get 1 and then come back on , takes all of 5 minutes to set up ,.

You need live cable feed and internet .

And the server is free , if working.

When you say IF the server is working - I know it went down but I thought all channels were back? Also does it run off a live feed on the net or do you just download and run (like the starview 1 and 2)?

Thanks.

Thanks.

you need an active VM feed and a Broadband Line. The only reason the Internet is needed is for the '' set of Keys''.. So when the local card is updated on the other end of the server you get the Update also.

Does the box need to be connected to the internet at all times? I got a box and set it up and it looks that way?

You just answerd your question, it is yes, all the time you watch the sv7 it needs the internet for you to watch the channels.

Yes you can use a wireless modem, I was saying to use straight from modem to make sure your connection was ok, then once it was working use a router, at the moment you will loose channels everyday, while they work on whatever they have to do to get them all working.
