ok having a few probs so thought the best thing is to get it reflashed
i only have laptop with win 7 premium on cheers Doug

Doug.Have you tried a factory reset.
Or flashed it from a sd card. PM sent.

ok will try and reflash from sd card
the prob i am having is the box switches off and back on again not all the time could be ten mins or hour even on fta channels cheers Doug

it dont go into standby it seems to go off then reboots it has dual boot and 5 images to choose from i just dont know any thing about these boxes
shuold not have bought it really but live and learn cheers Doug

That sounds a bit like boot loop.
If thats the case then you would need to reflash with a serial cable. I have used a serial to usb convertor with succese in the past. I am a bit rusty on this so I my be wrong.

Thinking about it,you my be as well somehow reflashing it with a serial cable like you say.
Then you would probably know if you have, a software ,or power supply problem. They say it is best to put an original image on the box.I think TM 011 is the latest.Or something like that.I could never get that to work though.I have successfully used other images instead.
