Smile DM800 Dead :-(

Happy Easter everybody !!

That's the nice bit done

Just switched on my dm800, dead !
Nothing on front display, no red light, no fan movement inside, nothing on tv.
Checked PSU with another unit, all ok.

Any ideas ????

Cheers !

Well, it seems that your PSU has failed and will need to be replaced with another unit/repaired

Take the lid off and check the caps, thats if your guarantee is out.
Is it a gen DM or a clone ?

Also check that the power connector is not loose.

It may be worth fully dismantling the box and checking for any stray brading etc, give it a good clean and before re-assembly try powering the main board on it's own without the tuner.

Capacitors are usually prefixed with a C, L is normally for inductors
