Default KV weird behaviour

Flicking between BBC1 (101) & BBC News (601) this morning and the box would sometimes give the scrambled message.
Powered the box off and on again and it was as though I'd done a factory reset. All channels and settings gone and had to rescan.
This has happened twice this morning.
Any thoughts?
Cheers

i think theres a setting on the box somewhere that says turn auto search off, that will stop you from losing your channels when you switch the box off

menu-system settings-power auto search

try that

thanks corby. I'm more concerned by it's erratic behaviour though. BBC news & BBC 1 should never be scrambled. And I've been powering off the box for the last month or so without issues.

Did you do a complete factory reset after the firmware load ?

Leaving old firmware settings in non-volatile memory can often lead to strange behaviour on any device that gets updated firmware.

Thanks coder,
I chose the factory default settings in the menu after the update, yes.
That is a complete factory reset correct?

Why is that?

ETA: Can you explain please? For those of us who are interested?
