A wee bit about me?
Right my TW friends, been hanging around here for about the last 3 years and just wanted to share some things with you.
I work on cable ships, as some of you may know and we lay and repair fibre optic cable (formerly BT and Cable and Wireless now known as Global Marine Systems).
Anyway, been here a while and just thought I'd share all I know about cable with you.
Please remember I just drive the ships.

This is whats called a mould.
At this point the splice is tested by both shore stations? Prior to creating the joint.
If it comes back negative at one then you have to start again... bearing in mind each joint (splice) takes roughly 12 hrs?
