Can I tune MTV3 (finland) into SKY?

Hi All,

From googling I gather that the sky dish is set at Astra 28.2 and Eurobird 28.5 east.

Due to my fear of heights and failure at geometry in school, its fair to say I unable to change the angle of the dish.

My question is, can I tune MTV3 (finland) into the extra channels in sky? If so what is the frequecy I need?

My girlfriend is finnish and my main goal here is to watch the ice hockey world cup. From the sky guide, I do not see a channel that is showing it.

If it is not possible to get MTV3 (finland) is it possible to get european eurosport? If someone knows a channel that is showing it, please inform me of that also?

Any help here will be hugely appreciated. I recently went on a serious bender with the guys and have been sleeping on the couch because of it. If someone could help me out on this one, it could get me back in the good books or the very least, the bedroom.

Hi, no it is not possible to get MTV3 from your dish and most probably not from your receiver either. The channel is also scrambled,so you wouldn't be able to watch it without the appropriate Canal Digital Nordic subscription.

The channel is on Thor at 1W, and would need approx 80cm dish to receive the signal.

Eurosport German is on 19.2 E FTA.

You would need to have a dish pointed at 19.2e for that.

The MTV3 channels are quite week in the Midlands compared to other channels on 1w for some unknown reason.

I have very little rain fade margin on my Penta 85 on these channels.

I don't seem to have any rain fade issues on any other channels on 1w just the MTV3 ones
