i have this vesion of firmware EUROVOX_V2_FULL_EPG_FIX_040706.bin but its not very stable do you know if there is a better or newer version.

The redbox firmware wont work on your ev2 even with the max remote as the redbox f/w contains a phillips tuner driver which isnt compatable, you would have to use the blue box f/w. Im using that ev2 f/w you are on a couple of ev2's and it works fine for me. I think there may have been a later one but cant seem to find it.

My problem is when i leave the box on overnight it looses all the channel names

Is anyone got euro vox2 spare remote. mine is not working so i need new1. tried universal but they dont have code for it so its not working. Please help.
