Not been on cable scene for a few years , have my old ambit here (not been on in a cpl of years)
Have already made a max232 lead up and can get to the "p" prompt to flash. Now comes my problem , all the tuts seem very old and I notice the latest Haxorware is 1.1 r39 - when I d/l that file directly it is not 2mb - all the old tuts seem to say you need to flash a 2mb dump Can someone please point me in the right direction ![]() Is it even worht me flashing this and putting it back on , will a hacked modem still work on VM ?? Cheers |

your modem has been updated by vm. the update incluses a bootloader without the p option.
there are new exploits to get the older bootloaders back on your modem but in my opinion, there very hit and miss. i have personally debricked several hundred modems for people who have bricked using 'console unlocker' and softjtag. if your softjtag fails, the only way to debrick (or at least it was) is to lift the flash chip, reprogram with a 2mb file and resolder. people use a 2mb file as it overwrites the whole of the flash....nonvol, bootloader and firmware, not just the latter. there might have been advances in utils used to get the p option back but someone else will have to tell you about that.

flash infinite first then.
i think when you try to flash fw only it should ask you which area you want to flash to. i THINK you answer one.
