Hello everyone

I'm trying to update the firmware on my new eurovox max (redbox) but for some reason the eurovox cant find the com port. Tried both ports 1/2 also used to two programs, DnUpman and voxer still no joy

Disabled all other com ports

Anyhelp would be great

You probably have the wrong type of RS232 cable. You need a null modem RS232 ... like this

Got that cable..i'm using the cable that came with the box.

are you using a desktop or laptop

desktop ..i was reading another post about using a laptop which says using a laptop was not good..

check in device manager to see if your com ports are enabled, disable them all apart from 1

Thanks ronster tried that but no joy..I'm think that the box is dead..This is a new box.
When i 1st got the box only the stand by light would come on.. thats why i'm trying to update the firmware ( i read it was a f/w problem ).but i can't even update that. so not much fun yet

I have had a connection between the pc / vox before, but the frimware failed to update how i can't do anything

see if you can receive a service file using voxer

No can't get a service file..What does this mean?
Tried with all com ports open and tried with one only open
