there is a lot of truth in that clio1, but there are people out there that do try to take the credit for other peoples hard work, thats life .......i have more faith in the k.v than the s.v thats my opinon only

its true the sat side isnt safe just like every other method ... but right now its working flaweless and i get it monthly so if my server guy has a problem i just choose another... theres hundreds offering the service now.
the cable side is up and down like a pros thongs and i prefer to just have the tv available for when i want it.
the only other way to get the tv working and there for when you want to watch is to buy a sub from sky or virmin""

i cant sere a lot of people having faith in the cable servers after all this... first the sv went down and hell was broken out of its box now the kv gone and slow at restarting... is it worth waiting for?

i now have hd adult ppv events for less than 10 quid a month...

lol i only pass by this forum from time to time to see if sv and kv have sorted themselves out,,, and to say they havent yet is a very poor service!!

Or better still Dave look into simply starting your own sat cs server instead of depending on a complete strangers, it really is a very simple process and if you limit yourself to 20 clients from trusted friends and family all paying a small monthly or annual server fee you could have your side which includes your internet costs completely free of charge and also provide an excellent quality service.

There is plenty of cable servers working with out a hitch.

What your talking about is cable free servers which of course what kv-sv are. You buy the box as fta and like the spiderbox u really get a free gift. Also remember unlike the private servers they have thousands on theres so of course u will have problems just like the sat side with public servers. Remember they can have problems with there internet just like joe blogs and as im sure most know kv servers are not all in one place or under one internet (virgin,bt,s&y,) provier unlike sv. so over all i think (only my thinking) most should be happy just like the old days when codes had to endered everyday when we do this sort of thing we know that there will be good days and bad days.

ps on less of course the traders that sold the boxes to people telling them oh they wont go off and are now geting hassle.

I edited this cos I misread. I thought you were saying Cable CS was a simple process. You are quite right SAT is easy and the way to go if you can get a dish up.

Basically what i'm saying is there are countless posts on this and other forums advising of how its much better to go the sat route than stick with their cable boxes with their free servers. However i'm suggesting for a couple of hours extra reading its not that much more difficult to get your own sat server going than it is to set up just being a client on someone else's. Folk just might learn something by having a go at being a host for a change instead of a parasite.

yes i agree and with that couple of hours reading they could also set up there own cable server. then they wouldn't need to worry what sv,kv do.
