Default Phone upgrade

Hi

Not to savvy with mobiles and always end up with wrong/crappy phones. Due an upgrade with 3 and theyve offered me the samsung galaxy mini. I mentioned the htc desire as that just popped into my head and he said the samsung is the better phone.

What phone should I be looking for similar to what the guy mentioned so its a similar deal also what better phone is there if I was willing to pay a bit more. Monthly deal was £25 dont know if its 24 mths or 12 mth. Currently im on £15.

The guy tried to push me into making an instant decision saying it would be a different deal tomorrow and not as good etc but I didnt want to be pushed into a decision and regret it later so I asked him to ring me back later but he hasnt as yet.

Regards

i guess it depends what you want to do with your phone.

dont know the specs of the samsung mini but they sound small.

if you want to browse the net etc you might be better with a bigger screen.

if you just want the capability to browse occasionally and mainly use the phone for, urm, phoning people (strange! heh) go for it.

obviously, on the touch screen phones, the smaller the screen, the smaller the buttons.

dont be pushed into anything m8 iam with 3 and they always try that panic buy method with me come upgrade time.

ive got 2 contracts with them one which is up for renewal now.

ive got a htc desire and it is a great phone iam very happy with it. but as with all things they get older and get deemed not quick or flash looking enough.

my other contract phone is a nokia 5800 which is up for renewel now i was gonna go and get the new htc desire s which has a bit more internal memory and a front facing camera. but looking at the specs of the desire and the desire s. there is not much in it so instead iam gonna wait a bit longer and get the htc sensation which is a dual core phone and will run a newer version of htc sense etc.

my advise as the contracts are mostly 2 years now i wait another month or 2 and shop for a dual core phone samsung, htc and i think L.G has models out or coming out. as they will better support and handle apps and stuff.

but it all depends on ur budget m8.

three dont always offer the best deal on there site or on the phone, my missus phone found a better deal online on a 3rd party website and phone three up and they could not match the deal she found, and the customer service person said ur better off going with the 3rd party so she did and all is good.

i found it silly that a different site could offer a contract on the same network cheaper than the network provider

Hi

Can wait a month or 2, will defo look into dual core. I hate being pushed into a deal without being allowed time to think it through.

Hi

Just googled htc sensation and it seems like an awesome phone, 1.2 gig processor and 1gb ram and 8mp camera. Possibly coming out in June after vodaphone have their 1 month exclusivity.

We're on 3 and the best deal we got was from one of their shops, ended up with an HTC Wildfire which seems to do pretty much everything I need it to do. Don't know if you use Skype but not all the new smart phones are compatible with 3's version and the version available on Market will use any inclusive net minutes you have.
