The British and Portuguese police came to the conclusion that there was no abduction from the apartment.
Two specialist sniffer dogs from the UK made reports of blood and cadaver scents in the apartment and hire car. The cop in charge of the investigation is convinced the child was killed in the apartment. The investigation hit a stonewall because the McCanns whipped up a huge media frenzy. Within an hour of the child's ''disappearance'' the British media knew about it. The Portuguese authorities had asked them not to contact the media. Gordon Brown got involved. Gerry McCann phoned him nine times. They had an audience with the Pope. Big names, such as Richard Branson, donated alot of money. Newspapers ran 'Find Maddie' campaigns. The home office put pressure on the Portuguese with result the cop running the investigation was removed. So much more just doesn't add up. Jane Tanner gave a description of the abductor as a Caucasian male, short brown hair, about 170cm tall, beige pants and a dark top carrying a blanket. Which matched the description of a man a passing couple had seen walking away from the complex. They thought nothing of it at the time. When the male of this couple saw Gerry McCann getting of a flight he was convinced it was him that he'd seen that night walking away with something wrapped in a blanket. Upon hearing this Jane Tanner's description of the abductor totally changed. She then claimed she'd seen a Mediterranean male, dark skin, long black hair and a mustache carrying a girl wearing pyjamas. Jane Tanner's sighting is the only evidence of an abduction. These are not the ignorant half arsed theories of an amateur internet pesonality or a red top reading Neanderthal. These are facts. Here's some more- http://mccannexposure.wordpress.com/...facts-leaflet/ http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Wor...00808115070874 As a parent of two children I don't claim to be perfect. I don't think anybody else who has commented here would claim to be perfect either. True we all make mistakes. And yes I have ended up in A+E from time to time with one or other of my kids. And had a few other scares. I have left them with people I trust. The important thing is, I have never knowingly left them alone whilst on holiday in a strange building in strange country.

Pretty sure everyone who shared a view on it , would never leave there kids in a strange apartment in a strange country to go for a meal . And then if any of us did , pretty sure we wouldn't write a book and then sell our story to a red top for a few extra quid . |

While I don't know all the facts and statements what I DO know is that you take your kids with you, wherever you go. If they get tired either put them in the pram or simply go home. You can have a few beers/wine etc on the balcony/patio with the kids in earshot.
Tucking them up in bed, then pogging off for a meal while they are left alone is wrong. Plain and simple imho. They did, and now face every parents worst nightmare. |
