dbox2 black out

my m8 has dropped his dbox2 with 2xintel chips round for me to have a look at
it was working fine but something has happened during the night
all his other electrical items sharing the extension lead are all ok
when you plug it in the lcd on the front stays black no power
i have changed the plug and fuse but still no joy
is there any power resets on the motherboard that i can reset
i have no previous experience with dbox2 prefer eurovox myself lot easier
any ideas people or is it a large paper weight now

i have opened the dbox and had a look inside
i think one of the components on the mains supply part of the circuit board has shorted
can these be changed or is it not worth the while
the component is small orange flat circular part approx 7mm in diameter located next to the large B-shaped copper shield
any budding sparkies fancy having a go
