Default Sky+HD Samsung Box puzzling behaviour.

I have one of the above connected to an Inverto octo LNB along with two white + boxes. Recently the HD box has been switched on via the remote in the morning to produce a blank screen. A power down and reboot is the only solution when this happens. Also and this may be unrelated, it's been losing the signal on some channels, namely those on 12569 - Movies for Men, MfM+1 etc. A reboot does not resolve this issue. Signal strength as indicated by the box is normally 100% and quality is in excess of 90%, except when tuned to these channels when strength and quality fluctuate and drop to zero. My white boxes are unaffected. Any ideas?

what size dish have you got? mfm and that sort of channel need a good signal lnb nulled properly etc. if you have a 44cm with that lnb theres your prob with mfm etc. you need to check the cables with a meter that will tell you if you have signal on both if you dont hd boxes run sh*t on 1 feed if not its def the box get them to swap it. hope it helps

Thanks for the response. I'd resigned myself to not getting any response to this query. I came to the conclusion that it's a crappy tuner due to the fact that I don't have a problem with my other two ordinary + boxes. I'd checked the signal with my Satcatcher meter and found no problems. I'm feeding all the boxes from an 80cm dish.
